Oxford St what a mess

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping (not witnessed and no evidence likely) category anonymously at 16:52, Tuesday 3 March 2026

Sent to Gloucester City Council 2 days, 16 hours, 46 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 9039346.

Good day

Please see attached photos of the mess in Oxford Street which is happening on a regular basis.

We hardly ever see a litter picker these days the kerbside is a mess and always full of litter.

Together with this the situation has once again become a health and safety issue for all who walk through this street, especially for small children on their way to school to the elderly with walking aids and mobility scooters.

1. No 16 - No large black bag is used - rubbish bag left on pavement - green box filled with any old rubbish - it's never taken away. 2. No 18 - many black bags every two weeks containing food - split open by seagulls and distributed around the street. 3. No 8 - a wheelie bin had appeared which needs collecting - number of black rubbish bags outside the house - no council large bag. 4. Wheelie bin on the corner of Oxford Street and London Road to be taken away - used by all and sundry as a council waste bin - which actually should be there.

What can be done?
