Overgrown ivy blocking path

The overgrown ivy has been causing a problem all around the path. One of the houses has removed the Ivy from his Fence and the council have come to clear it away, albeit a working progress. Unfortunately, the guys who are clearing it away have not been given the mandate to trim back the Ivy on the rest of the path to the rear of the properties. This Ivy has overtaken the pathway which means pedestrians have to walk in the road to avoid the overgrown Hedging could you please arrange to have this trimmed back to the fence.
