Damaged backboard, faded lines

Sent to Gloucester City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8400789.

Backboard is completely stripped of any sports-related marking.

Previously existing lines are now worn away completely, eg 3-point line.

Also, the double rim, ie a smaller diameter rim slightly below the original makes it more difficult to use since the ball bounces back out when it shouldn't. Ideally there'd be a net or chain.

  • Thank you for reporting the damaged equipment. We appreciate your help in maintaining our city and keeping it safe. We’ve passed this on to Ubico, who provide this service on behalf of Gloucester City Council. They’ll assess the issue based on the information provided and aim to repair or replace within 20 working days. If the damage is considered dangerous, they’ll aim to make it safe within 1 working day.

  • It is now Jan 1st, 2026 and there has been no correspondence from Gloucester Council, nor has anything been done about it.
